2. Ohio State (1-0)

Ohio State fans weren’t happy with Ryan Day on Saturday or their new starting quarterback Kyle McCord, especially when the score was 7-3 at the half in favor of Ohio State.

This Buckeyes offense wasn’t supposed to skip a beat. I still don’t think it will. Indiana was prepared and they competed. Plus the new timing rules had an impact.

McCord was 20-of-33 for 239 yards and one interception. Ohio State only had 380 yards of offense total but the game also featured just 121 plays. OSU fans might not be happy, but it was nothing to panic about. The Buckeyes won a Big Ten football game on the road by 20.

1. Michigan (1-0)

The Wolverines are the Big Ten team to crack our College Football Playoff projection after Week 1 and that comes after a 30-3 win over ECU. J.J. McCarthy was spectacular and clearly took his game to another level this offseason.

The running game wasn’t super dynamic but Blake Corum found the end zone and had a 37-yard run. Michigan’s defense looked even better and didn’t allow any points until East Carolina kicked a field goal as time expired down by 30. No Jim Harbaugh, no problem.
