1. Notre Dame football wins a shootout

In two outings, Notre Dame has given up a total of six points. That’s impressive. However, the Irish have faced Navy and Tennessee State which aren’t exactly offensive stalwarts.

They’ll now face a tough task of going to Raleigh to do battle with an NC State team coming off a big road win over UConn.

While NC State’s offense wasn’t exactly electric in the opener, totaling 364 yards, it was Brennan Armstrong’s first live action as the Wolfpack’s QB1. He was just getting adjusted. He now faces an opponent that will put points on the board quickly and he has to mentally prepare for a shootout.

And that’s what we’ll see on Saturday between these two teams.

I believe the over/under is set at 50 and I would jump on the over (not gambling advice) as Sam Hartman and Armstrong will have a heck of a duel while Audric Estime has a second straight 100-yard game.

Notre Dame wins a surprising shootout on the road, 38-35.
