College Football Hot Seat: Tom Allen, Indiana

Tom Allen started the season on the college football hot seat. His team was competitive against Ohio State, but a 20-point loss and a win over Indiana State won’t satisfy any doubters.

The Hoosiers are a 10-point underdog according to DraftKings against Louisville this week (at home), so it’s not going to be easy. But the best way for coaches to keep their jobs is to win games you aren’t supposed to and Indiana hasn’t done that since 2021.

The offense is 106th in scoring offense, but 30th in scoring defense and if Indiana can find a way, it will make a bowl game more likely.

Allen will also have a better shot at returning.

College Football Hot Seat: Bretty Pry, Virginia Tech

Brett Pry is off to a 4-8 start at Virginia Tech and the Hokies are fresh off a 24-17 home loss against Purdue.

Now, the Hokies hit the road to take on 2-0 Rutgers and Virginia Tech is a seven-point underdog. Grant Wells hasn’t been bad at quarterback. The offense is averaging just 327 yards per game and a loss to Rutgers is going to have a restless fanbase even more worried about the future.
