Georgia Tech Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Wake Forest in Week 4
1. The Yellow Jackets will upset the Demon Deacons
Georgia Tech has historically owned Wake Forest in leading the series 23-8, which dates to 1917. The two teams have only met nine times this century and not since 2017. The Yellow Jackets haven’t been to Winston-Salem since 2010 and haven’t lost to the Demon Deacons since the 2006 ACC Championship Game.
The Yellow Jackets are coming off a road loss where they played a penalty-free game, just their eighth in school history, and still lost to Ole Miss. To be fair, in the fourth quarter, Georgia Tech had the game down to one score (24-17) before the wheels fell off the defense.
This week, Haynes King will have a coming-out party as he gets the best of Mitch Griffis. The biggest question is will the Yellow Jackets have another second-half meltdown.
I predict that the Ramblin’ Wreck will leave Winston-Salem with their 29th win of the series.
Prediction: Georgia Tech 30, Wake Forest 27
