2. Tanner Mordecai has not looked great so far

Tanner Mordecai was expected to be one of the best quarterbacks in the Big Ten this season after transferring in, but he has looked anything but impressive through three games.

Sure, he’s shown flashes such as the 277-yard performance against Washington State on the road, but then he had that two-interception game against Buffalo in a shaky opener. Was it just first-game jitters? Potentially, but facing a Big Ten defense on the road isn’t going to help matters.

While Purdue has struggled a lot this season, I think that Mordecai is going to have a tough go of things in his first Big Ten road game.

Ryan Walters will have an aggressive game plan in place and the Boilermakers are going to get after Mordecai early and often to make him uncomfortable in the pocket and he’s going to make some big mistakes.
