College Football Rankings 2023: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 5

I think Texas is going to stay at No. 3 this week even with Florida State beating Clemson because the Longhorns demolished Baylor in Waco in one of the bigger blowouts of the week.

Quinn Ewers is establishing himself as one of the top Heisman contenders in the country as he was just solid and confident against the Bears on the road.

The Longhorns are going to be a tough out this season because that defense does look improved and because Ewers is playing at an elite level and, well, the rest of the schedule looks very winnable.

At the beginning of the year, I was a doubter of the Longhorns and didn’t think that all the hype was going to come to fruition, but after four weeks, they absolutely deserve to have this ranking and the preseason hype now makes sense.
