While most of the rest of the top 10 faced ranked opponents or were on the road against conference foes in Week 4, Georgia hosted UAB in another easy non-conference matchup.
While the Blazers have been one of the better Group of Five teams over the years, they just didn’t stand a chance against the Bulldogs. They fell behind by a touchdown early and it just felt like the game was over at that point.
UAB put up a bit of a fight, but the Bulldogs asserted their dominance and showed just why they’re the No. 1 team in the nation.
Will this win over UAB impress AP voters enough to keep the Bulldogs in the top spot? At this point, I think it’s going to take a shocking loss from Georgia in order to be dropped.
The two-time defending champs are No. 1 until proven otherwise.
