Jalon Daniels and Kansas just continue to impress and Lance Leipold’s stock is rising as a head coaching candidate for the upcoming offseason (he seems to love Kansas, though). The Jayhawks held on against a solid BYU team on Saturday night to improve to 4-0 on the season. This team is better than people think.

Kansas State was dropped from the rankings last week after losing at Missouri on an improbable 61-yard field goal but the Wildcats will return after dropping 44 points in a tough win over UCF. Chris Klieman’s team showcased nice short-term memory and shook off last week’s heartbreaking loss to beat a good UCF team at home.

Missouri was right on the outside of the rankings last week, looking in. The Tigers are going to make an appearance this week after holding on to beat Memphis. This game was much closer than people expected but Missouri was able to flex its strength late and hold on.

Ole Miss just didn’t look like it was ready to play in Tuscaloosa as the offense didn’t show up to play. The Rebels couldn’t really muster anything offensively, accounting for just 301 total yards and only a single touchdown in a two-score loss. The Rebels should remain ranked after their first loss, but they’ll drop into the 20s.

Was Florida’s 22-7 win over Charlotte impressive enough to move the Gators up four spots? No, but that’s what happens when a handful of teams lose ahead of you. Florida seemed to sleepwalk its way to a win over Charlotte, but hey, the Gators had the catch of the year.
