3. Provo is a tough place to play
BYU is an impressive team at home. I can personally attest to the fact that LaVell Edwards Stadium is generally a loud and difficult environment for visitors to come and win, especially in a night game like this.
BYU is well-coached and is a solid team.
Although they will host teams with superior talent this season, those teams cannot come into Provo expecting to cruise to a win. It is a dangerous game for just about anyone in the Big 12 who has to play there this year.
We saw the fans show up in droves as it was the most-attended home game for BYU in over a decade, showing that everyone is excited about joining the Big 12. This place is going to be a nightmare for visitors for a while.
