1. This team has a much different feel than last year’s team

A year ago, Texas A&M felt like a broken program. The Aggies missed a bowl game after going 5-7 and Jimbo Fisher found himself on the hot seat.

After a loss to Miami in Week 2, it felt like this would be the same old story for Texas A&M under Fisher and the Aggies would fade into irrelevance yet again. But the Aggies have bounced back, reeling off three straight wins and improving to 4-1 on the season with a strong win over rival Arkansas as well as Auburn last week.

The defense has stepped up and it’s not only showing a pulse, it’s dominating. A week ago, the Aggie defense allowed just 10 points to Auburn, and this week, it allowed less than 200 total yards against Arkansas. Those are two quality opponents to completely shut down.

And offensively, the Aggies are moving the ball in a very balanced way.

If Texas A&M continues to improve, we may just be looking at an SEC contender yet again. This team has a different feel to it.
