Colorado football: 3 bold predictions vs. Arizona State in Week 6
2. Shedeur Sanders is going to have another highlight game
Shedeur Sanders ranks second in the nation, averaging 356.20 yards per game in the passing game. That’s 1,781 yards with 15 touchdowns and only two interceptions. He is in the Heisman talk for a reason, in such a way that you can’t shut him down. You can only wish to hold him or keep the damage minimal. The Sun Devils have a frail spot in their secondary, ranked 60th against the pass. They have done a more suitable job this season of putting some pressure on the opposing quarterbacks, and they will have to do that to have any chance in this battle.
With the way Omarion Miller went off last weekend against the USC Trojans, it’s safe to say that Sanders found another weapon. Miller had seven receptions for 196 yards and one touchdown; he was the leading receiver in the game.
With Travis Hunter still healing from his lacerated kidney injury in the Colorado State contest, the Buffaloes were searching for another weapon to step up. Dylan Edwards, Xavier Weaver, and Jimmy Horn Jr. were the only consistent playmakers in the games vs. Oregon and USC, and that wasn’t entirely enough.
This game will be entirely different; with the emergence of Omarion Miller and the other weapons already in place, this will be another breakout performance by Shedeur Sanders. Just go ahead and write it in stone that he will let that cannon loose and put up some huge numbers as the entire team let their frustrations of the last two games get taken out on Arizona State.
