No. 3 Louisville’s Offensive Firepower

Louisville’s offensive firepower is one of the best in the nation and Notre Dame football will surely have some trouble with them this weekend. Jamari Thrash and Jawhar Jordan are electric players and nearly every game this year they have shown out on the offensive side of the ball for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals are averaging 32.3 ppg (#36) this season along with 446 ypg (#23). Louisville has had a lot of success running and throwing the ball as well this season averaging 156.3 rushing yards per game (#58) and 289.8 passing yards per game (#20). Even in last week’s game where Jawhar Jordan only had 32 rushing yards, the passing offense stepped up by throwing for 286 yards in the game. Even if players like Jamari Thrash have an off game like last week, guys like Chris Bell can step up (just like he did last week) and make up for the missed yards that the star receivers are missing.

Brohm is also an offensive-minded coach and having him coaching this team will always be a plus on the offensive side of the ball. Louisville dropped 56 points on Boston College 2 weeks ago, and even in games against NC State where the offense is struggling, he finds a way to call the right plays when they’re needed.

Louisville is no doubt one of the best offensive teams in the country, and even though Notre Dame is a good defensive team. Louisville’s offense outmatches Notre Dame’s defense, especially in L&N Stadium
