2. Notre Dame’s defense will wreak havoc on Jack Plummer

So far this season, the Notre Dame defense has put the ‘fight’ in Fighting Irish. The unit has allowed a paltry 13 points per game through six games. Included were dynamite defensive performances against some of the nation’s most talented squads and players, such as Ohio State’s offense in general, as well as Duke’s highly rated quarterback Riley Leonard.

Meanwhile, Louisville is led by Jack Plummer, a turnover machine. The veteran signal-caller has thrown six interceptions in just five games so far this season. Averaging over a pick thrown a game is never good, let alone when you are set to face Marcus Freeman’s Fighting Irish.

Thus, I fully expect a clogged Cardinals offensive attack. Benjamin Morrison and the rest of the Notre Dame secondary will be salivating, just waiting for Plummer to choke under the constant pressure from the Irish defensive front.

Hence, by game’s end, Louisville will be looking to hire a plumber to unclog the sputtering Cardinals’ attack, and his name won’t be Jack.
