The Colorado football DJ nearly got a penalty for playing too much music
There’s something to be said about Pac-12 After Dark. It’s a real thing. It’s like a full moon. Weird stuff happens. And that happened to Colorado football’s DJ at Folsom Field on Friday night.
You almost can’t ask for anything else as a football fan other than some crazy stuff to happen during a night game in the Pac-12.
We got to see Travis Hunter return from injury and score a filthy touchdown in the first quarter. It was the first touchdown of his Colorado career and all he did was break a defender’s ankles on the way to the end zone with a filthy spin move.
We also saw one of the weirdest referee interactions with the Colorado booth.
The refs stopped the game at the start of the second quarter as Stanford was lining up to run a play and told the PA announcer to stop playing music while the Cardinal are in formation.
Unbelievable.
Fans loved the call on Colorado football’s DJ
This warning call was obviously a hit with fans across the country.
I, too, loved the call.
The last thing I expected to hear while tuning in to some Friday night football between Stanford and Colorado was that the DJ was being too loud. He was playing too much music with Stanford in possession of the ball. Nope, can’t do that — I guess?
Chances are we will never see another warning like this again, but man it would have been great if the Colorado DJ cost the Buffaloes 15 yards because of their DJ.
