College Football Rankings 2023: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 8
Texas fans are still trying to forget that this year’s Red River Rivalry ever happened. The Longhorns looked like they had the win in the bag, but they let Oklahoma drive the length of the field in the final minute to score a touchdown with just seconds left.
Quinn Ewers likely saw his Heisman hopes crushed in the loss and not just because Texas fell, but also because he had some really bad turnovers.
There’s still plenty of time for Texas to make a move back up the rankings and I wouldn’t be shocked if the Longhorns were somewhere around the top five by the time the first College Football Playoff rankings are released.
