College Football Week 8 Winner: Ohio State
You have to give credit where credit is due and for the second time this season, Ohio State football beat a top-10 team.
This win was much easier than the Notre Dame game, although it still wasn’t easy. Penn State failed to convert a fourth down late in the game, giving Ohio State great field position. Marvin Harrison Jr. made a play and that was all she wrote.
Ohio State’s defense was the true MVP. Kyle McCord is improving, but he’s not the Buckeye quarterbacks of the past, even under Ryan Day.
But this defense is legit. That might give Ohio State the best chance of up-ending Michigan. However, even if the Buckeyes lost that game, they are going to have a strong resume with a pair of top-10 wins.
