Final Takeaways

While defeating Illinois may not be deemed a major accomplishment by someone on the outside looking in, it’s crucial to consider the alternative – Wisconsin football goes on a two-game losing streak leading into a game against No. 3 Ohio State. That would have been no bueno.

The Wisconsin Badgers have struggled to finish games for the last few seasons, making their 18-point fourth-quarter comeback to erase a two-score deficit a noteworthy achievement. Things haven’t been all sunshine and rainbows this season — but grinding out a road win in the Big Ten is always something to celebrate.

It’s a sign of progress and a signature moment that the Wisconsin football team can hopefully build upon moving forward.

With Iowa’s loss to Minnesota, the Badgers control their own destiny in the Big Ten West…for at least one more week.
