Biggest winners and losers from College Football Week 9: A seismic win for KU, Oregon makes a statement, and more
College Football Week 9 loser: Dabo Swinney
Things keep going from bad to worse for Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers. After a blowout loss to Duke to start the season and a narrow defeat at the hands of Florida State, the wheels have really fallen off for the Tigers.
Miami beat Clemson 28-20 last week when Cade Klubnik was stuffed on a fourth-and-goal. Clemson played at North Carolina State on Saturday and lost for the second week in a row 24-17.
Things continue to go bad for Klubnik who had two interceptions in the loss for the Tigers, who are now 4-4 and may not make a bowl game.
Notre Dame is coming to Death Valley next week which is the first of three straight home games for the Tigers, before a road trip to South Carolina. Clemson faces Georgia Tech and North Carolina in addition to the Irish next week.
So winning two games won’t be easy, especially with the way the Tigers have played this season. is it time for Dabo Swinney to be on the hot seat? It’s hard to see that happening but the results have been massively disappointing.
