13. UCF (3-5, 0-5 conference)

Another team that still has yet to pull out the win in the Big 12 conference. They did put up a fight against West Virginia, scoring a touchdown in each quarter of the game. But they weren’t able to finish the game with a win. Quarterback John Rhys Plumlee threw for three touchdowns, but also for three interceptions, which West Virginia capitalized on. They face a Cincinnati team that will also be looking for its first win in the conference of the season.

12. Houston (3-5, 1-4 conference)

I’m not even sure Houston showed up to this game. Kansas State completely dominated this team from start to finish, shutting them out and shutting them down. The team had two turnovers and only had 11 first downs in the game. They play Baylor this week in Waco.

11. Baylor (3-5, 2-3 conference)

Baylor suffered its third Big 12 loss at the hands of Iowa State. The Bears have only 300 yards of total offense, and a running game that only averaged 3.7 yards per carry. They rely heavily on the passing game, which didn’t fare well either. They need to find some semblance of an offense before facing Houston at home.

10. Texas Tech (3-5, 2-3 conference)

Texas Tech’s previous game didn’t go as planned, much like most of their season in 2023. They are in a two-game losing stretch and have only won two games in the conference. Quarterback Chandler Morris is playing well, completing over 65% of his passes so far on the year. They play against TCU at home on Thursday night.
