3. Virginia Tech Hokies (4-4, 3-1):

In our final installment of “Don’t Look Now,” Virginia Tech has a mathematic chance to make the ACC Championship game. There were a lot of questions surrounding the Hokies, the school’s investment in the program, and whether or not Brent Pry was the right man for the job. The school is investing in the program, and Pry has the Hokies in a tie with Louisville for second in the ACC.

2. #15 Louisville Cardinals (7-1, 4-1):

There’s one way to break a tie. Play each other. The Cardinals host the Hokies this weekend with sole possession of second place in the conference on the line. The Cardinals and the Hokies have a manageable path to the ACC title game, depending on who wins this Saturday. If the Cardinals are upset at home, they’ll regret that Pitt loss the rest of the year.

1. #4 Florida State Seminoles (8-0, 6-0):

Saturday’s 41-16 thrashing of Wake Forest was a culture win for the Seminoles. Florida State had a bad habit over the last few years of playing down to its competition. It was not always pretty, but the Seminoles pulled out the boa constrictor in the second half of the game. The ‘Noles are in the driver’s seat in the ACC and are poised to return to the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2014. FSU has to be careful because they have two rivalry games left on the schedule against Florida and Miami.
