Say goodbye to the playoff, Oklahoma fans. The Sooners just lost their second game of the season, effectively eliminating them from the playoff. It will take a herculean effort to finish the season if the Sooners still plan on winning the Big 12. Tough to lose the last edition of Bedlam, though.

Oregon State is headed to Colorado this week and my prediction is that the Beavers come away with a big win to stay in the hunt for a New Year’s Six bowl. Beating a team like Colorado on the road will be important and I think we’ll see the Buffaloes’ offense struggle slightly with a new play-caller in charge.

Oklahoma State, come on down. After sitting at No. 22 in the first playoff rankings, we’re going to see Oklahoma State make one of the biggest jumps this week. The Cowboys took down No. 9 Oklahoma in one of the best games of the week, shutting down Bedlam on a high note. We’ll see the Cowboys ranked ahead of the Sooners, I think.

Utah faced an Arizona State team that has been improving all season but the Utes didn’t even break a sweat. The Utes actually put the beatdown on Kenny Dillingham and the Sun Devils which should move the Utes up a couple of spots, or so. This was an incredibly impressive win.

For whatever reason, the spread was only -9.5 in favor of Louisville heading into a Week 10 matchup at home against Virginia Tech. Well, the Cardinals took that personally. Louisville dominated from start to finish and came away with a blowout win to push Jeff Brohm’s team that much closer to the top 10 of the playoff rankings.
