College Football Week 10 loser: Heisman campaigns
Caleb Williams didn’t have a great shot at winning the Heisman Trophy again after a rough season for the Trojans but a third loss, especially at the hands of Michael Penix Jr. and Washington, means the run will end for Williams.
Bryce Young had a similar problem last season. His team didn’t win signature games against LSU and Tennessee so he didn’t win the award.
Williams doesn’t have any hope now and I doubt he even gets a return invitation. Jayden Daniels is another who saw his Heisman hopes take a hit.
He might be the most dynamic player in college football but he left the game due to injury Saturday and his Heisman hopes took a huge hit even though he had gained 382 yards of offense
But Daniels and Williams both play on three-loss teams — making them a massive longshot for the 2023 Heisman Trophy.
