4. Michigan vs. LSU

The Wolverines have a decently rich history against the SEC, playing a total of 32 games against the conference’s current members (34 if you count upcoming members Oklahoma and Texas), with all but one having faced off against the Wolverines, with the sticking sore thumb being the LSU Tigers.

Having won a combined 15 national championships and ranked 11 (LSU) and four (Michigan) in the all-time AP Top 25, it’s kind of confusing of how these programs have never played each other, even in a post-season bowl game.

This matchup, if it were to happen today, would feature Michigan facing off against Brian Kelly, the former head coach of one of Michigan’s most bitter historical rivals, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, as well as many people being excited to see Michigan finally playing the entire SEC at least once (unless realignment brings more programs the Wolverines have never played against).
