Things weren’t looking good for Florida State heading into the half but even an early deficit in the second half wasn’t enough to hold the Seminoles off.
It wasn’t Jordan Travis’ best game but the defense sealed the win with an interception of Tyler Van Dyke on fourth down while the Hurricanes were driving.
This game should act as a wake-up call for the Seminoles, playing the Hurricanes way too closely, especially when you consider how much better Florida State is than Miami.
Travis still finished with 265 passing yards and a touchdown.
Florida State has a lot of work to do in order to finish the season 12-0, but all signs are pointing to that and with them sitting in the No. 4 spot, the Seminoles are going to have to do just that in order to make the playoff.
The ACC is Florida State’s to lose and I think they’ll sit at No. 4 again this week.
