Michigan made a statement on Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines went into Happy Valley to face a top-10 Penn State team without Jim Harbaugh on the sidelines and they picked up a 24-15 win.
Not too many teams could win a game like this with all of these distractions.
Michigan seems loaded on both sides of the ball and there’s a chance that Michigan moves up a spot in the rankings after beating the Nittany Lions but unfortunately for the Wolverines, Georgia, too, faced a top-10 opponent.
JJ McCarthy didn’t throw the ball a ton (eight times) and he had just 60 passing yards, but the rushing attack was the difference. The Wolverines rushed for 227 yards and three touchdowns and Blake Corum sealed the deal with a clinching score with about five minutes left.
This team is scary-good.
