With three weeks remaining on the season, Ohio State got a nice “bye” of sorts in Week 11 as it hosted a reeling Michigan State team in a night game.
The Spartans were just 3-6 on the year after losing head coach Mel Tucker to off-field issues and interim head coach Harlon Barnett just notched his first win last week over Nebraska. He had a chance to upset the No. 1 team in the nation on Saturday night, but everyone knew what was going to happen.
Ohio State rolled.
Will this be enough to impress the committee and keep the Buckeyes in the top spot? Absolutely. There will be plenty of debate after another crazy week, but I don’t think you can have either Georgia or Michigan jumping them after dominating a conference opponent.
The Buckeyes are on a collision course with Michigan (again) in Week 13 for the conference title.
