If you like scoring, you probably loved the Kansas State vs. Baylor game. The Wildcats took care of business with 35 first-half points, cruising to a 59-25 win over the Bears. With the win, Chris Klieman’s team improves to 7-3 and the Bears are now bowl ineligible. Kansas State is much better than people think.
Tennessee was one of a handful of teams in the playoff rankings that lost this week, falling at the hands of Missouri, 36-7. The game honestly wasn’t close after halftime and it’s time for Josh Heupel and the Volunteers to go back to the drawing board after their SEC title and playoff hopes have been crushed.
North Carolina looked like it was going to cruise to a win over rival Duke in Week 11, but the Blue Devils took the Tar Heels to overtime and nearly pulled off the shocker. The Tar Heels won and should move up a comfortable amount.
Iowa was up just 3-0 at halftime after Deacon Hill threw an upset in the red zone to end the second quarter, but the Hawkeyes didn’t panic. They scored 19 in the second half to win in shutout fashion over Rutgers, 22-0. Iowa is in firm control of the Big Ten West without Cade McNamara, shockingly.
Notre Dame had a bye this week after losing to Clemson seven days ago and the Irish needed this after falling to an average team and seeing their playoff hopes crushed officially. This team had so much hope with Sam Hartman at quarterback and it was disappointing to see it fizzle away.
