Penn State is going to see a healthy drop in the rankings after failing to take advantage of a home matchup with Michigan sans Jim Harbaugh. James Franklin coached one of his worst games as a Nittany Lion and Penn State just couldn’t make the big play to notch a win. The playoff hopes for Penn State have been crushed officially and the Drew Allar luster has worn off.

Ole Miss probably wants to forget Saturday’s loss at Georgia because, well, this one wasn’t even close. This was a reality check for Lane Kiffin and the Rebels after a tumultuous week. They could still make a New Year’s Six bowl, but this blowout loss at Georgia shows just how far they are away from being legit title contenders.

Jayden Daniels and LSU bounced back in a big way with a high-scoring win over Florida in Week 11. This should be enough to move the Tigers up a couple of spots, especially with a handful of teams ahead of them losing. The Daniels Heisman hype hasn’t quite died yet as he had yet another monster game.

We’re going to see Oklahoma rise in this week’s rankings after blowing the doors off West Virginia. Dillon Gabriel and Co. had a nice bounce-back week against West Virginia, winning by four touchdowns and really never leaving any doubt. This was a nice response to the Oklahoma State loss last week.

Louisville nearly had the most disastrous week of any team in the playoff rankings, coming from behind to beat a Virginia team that had just two wins on the season. This is a game that the Cardinals will learn from and realize that they’re mortal, but Jeff Brohm can’t let a game like this happen again or the committee may come down harsh on them.
