3. The loss to the Oklahoma Sooners is the one outlier on the season

WVU got beat in every facet of the game last Saturday in Norman. This bounce-back win in blowout fashion helps to prove that the loss to the Sooners is an outlier on the season.

The Mountaineers have lost three games in conference play this season. Aside from the loss to Oklahoma, West Virginia lost to Houston on a last-second Hail Mary and to Oklahoma State, a game in which they held a lead in the fourth quarter. While West Virginia certainly isn’t the caliber of team that the Sooners or Texas Longhorns are, they have proven to be a quality team in the new-look Big 12.

Next up: Baylor Bears

WVU will finish off their regular season in Waco, Texas, against the Baylor Bears on Saturday, Nov. 25. Kickoff time is still to be announced.
