3. The Jordan-Hare effect

Since Nick Saban arrived at Alabama, he has lost five Iron Bowls. Of those five, four took place in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

In two of those games, 2017 and 2019, Alabama was the better team on paper, but behind a raucous home crowd, Auburn was able to pull off a victory .

It’s tough to describe the environment for an Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare. When you’re in that state, at that stadium, for that game, it feels like the center of the universe. There’s absolutely nothing like it.

While there are X’s and O’s explanations as to why Auburn can keep the game tight, winning the game will require some voodoo.

In Tuscaloosa, this game isn’t particularly close. At a neutral site, it’s a pretty similar story. At Jordan-Hare, however, Auburn always has a shot.
