Rutgers Football: The Scarlet Knights are Bowling, 3 Possible Destinations
By Andrew Daley
3. The Pinstripe Bowl
In what is probably the most likely scenario, Rutgers may find themselves taking the short bus ride north to Yankee Stadium.
The Pinstripe Bowl is admittedly, one of the most unique bowls in all of bowl season. Yankees Stadium is transformed into a football field, with not much room to spare in either end zone.
The game typically makes for good television, and this year will see the Big Ten take on a member of the ACC.
Logistically speaking, it’s smart to have Rutgers play in this game as it saves money on travel, and you know Rutgers will have a good fan base considering it’s proximity to the University.
Rutgers football last played in the Pinstripe Bowl back in 2013, when they lost to Notre Dame by a score of 29-16.
It was the second-highest-attended Pinstripe Bowl of all time.
Music to the Committee’s ears.
