1. Ole Miss is going to be scary next year

While beating a mediocre Mississippi State team that just fired its head coach isn’t exactly a sign that Ole Miss is elite, it did lead to a 10-win regular season for the second time in three years. That type of success just doesn’t happen by mistake.

And even better: Ole Miss returns a ton of key players next year.

The Rebels were competitive all year long and it feels like they’re right on the verge of being a true SEC title contender and a legit playoff threat. Winning 10 regular-season games in the SEC is wildly impressive and Ole Miss just seems to be getting better under Lane Kiffin. And Jaxson Dart and Quinshon Judkins will both be back next year to try and make the school’s first-ever playoff.

This team is going to be laden with veterans and a good mix of young talent and the playoff field is expanding next season to 12 teams, so why not believe in Ole Miss to contend for a title?

Ole Miss is going to be scary-good next year.
