1. Kaidon Salter goes for a season-high in passing yards

Liberty quarterback Kaidon Salter has been phenomenal for the Flames this season. Statistically, he has been one of the best quarterbacks in all of college football.

Passing

2,431 yards | 29 touchdowns | 5 interceptions

Rushing

141 carries | 899 yards | 11 touchdowns

Salter has done it all for the Flames this season. His 899 yards on the ground, paired with 1,251 yards from Quinton Cooley, has allowed Liberty to lead the nation in rushing yards per game. In their early-September matchup with the Aggies, Liberty carried the ball 52 times for 250 yards. It is no secret that Liberty likes to run the football. We can expect NMSU to go all-in on stopping Cooley, Salter, and this rushing attack.

Salter has only eclipsed the 300-yard mark one-time through the air this season. He threw for 344 yards and five touchdowns against Buffalo in a blowout win on the road.

With many experts anticipating a tightly contest C-USA championship, the Flames might need a big performance from Salter and the Flames’ passing game. As good as Salter has been this season, the Flames may need his best performance if they hope to improve to 13-0 and be crowned C-USA Champions.
