3. New Mexico State wins turnover battle, keeps it close down the stretch

Liberty’s rushing attack is not the only reason for their 12-0 regular season. Their ability to create turnovers is among the best in the nation.

Expecting New Mexico State to make this a close game down the stretch, turnover margin appears to be a must-win category for the Aggies on the road. Though creating turnovers will allow the Aggies to keep it close, Liberty’s Kaidon Salter will make too many plays down the stretch for the NMSU defense to handle. If the rushing attack isn’t working, expect Salter to get the ball downfield with his arm. If the running game is close to what it has been all season for the Flames, Liberty may win this one by a wider margin than the prediction indicates below.
