The all-too-controversial No. 4 spot, in my opinion, will go to Alabama.

I know everyone thinks that Florida State deserves the spot after finishing the season 13-0 and beating Louisville for the ACC title on Saturday night, but I just can’t see the playoff committee deciding to leave the SEC out of the field. There’s just no way that happens, right?

And there’s no way the committee can put Georgia in over Alabama when the Tide just beat the Bulldogs in the SEC title game and did so rather convincingly.

Jalen Milroe just keeps getting the job done and whenever everyone counts Nick Saban out, he just continues to deliver and prove that he’s the greatest coach of all time.

Should Florida State be punished for winning a weaker league and/or losing its starting quarterback for the season? Obviously not, but the committee just won’t overlook how good the top of the SEC was this season, and leaving it out of the playoff will just feel wrong.

Alabama is arguably the hottest team in college football and has been for over a month.
