Former Nebraska RB Aaron Green Lands at TCU

The official TCU athletic website GoFrogs.com announced former Nebraska running back Aaron Green is joining the team. Green, a native of San Antonio, left Nebraska in April with a declared intent of playing closer to home. He has three years of eligibility remaining after playing sparingly in his true freshman campaign at Nebraska last year.

Green is not eligible in 2012, thus will not replace Ed Wesley in the Frog offense. Wesley was TCU’s second leading rusher in 2011, accruing 726 yards at 6.1 per clip. He was set to return alongside Matt Tucker and Waymon James, a trio that combined for over 2200 yards, but Wesley left the program last week.

Green was a four star recruit coming out of San Antonio’s James Madison High. He rushed for 105 yards on 24 carries, appearing in 12 games for the Cornhuskers. Barring unforeseen circumstances, Green would lineup alongside quarterback Casey Pachall and James in 2013. Both are juniors in ’12.
