Alabama, Oregon, Kansas State and Notre Dame occupy the first four slots of the Fansided Top 25 this week, unsurprisingly, and joining them to round out the top five is Georgia. The Bulldogs’ rout of Ole Miss helped elevate the Bulldogs behind the four BCS championship contenders. Fellow unbeaten Ohio State is just behind the Dawgs at No. 6, and the sixth unbeaten FBS team, Louisville, joined the top 10 this week.

Alabama’s win over LSU kept it atop the poll this week, though more No. 1 votes were distributed than at any time since the Crimson Tide moved into the top spot. Oregon secured three first place votes, and Kansas State earned its first No. 1 nod.

In the Associated Press poll this week, UCLA earned a higher ranking than crosstown rival USC for the first time since 2001. The Fansided Top 25 has existed for far fewer years, thus the sample size much smaller and the lineage a lot less impressive. Nevertheless, it’s worth noting that the Bruins did indeed surpass the Trojans for the first time in this poll’s existence.
