No surprise atop the Fansided Top 25 this week, as Notre Dame takes over the No. 1 spot in the wake of Kansas State and Oregon’s losses. The upsets paved the way for Alabama to step back near the poll’s pinnacle. The Crimson Tide checks in at No. 2, and even garnered one No. 1 overall vote — the sole No. 1 vote to elude the Fighting Irish.

Oregon fell to No. 4, behind SEC Georgia, but ahead of the only other unbeaten in college football, Ohio State. The Buckeyes occupy No. 5 after their overtime defeat of Wisconsin. Ohio State faces a top 25 showdown this week when it hosts rival Michigan. The Wolverines are No. 22 in this week’s voting.

Entering the poll for the first time is Utah State. The Aggies beat Louisiana Tech to sew up the WAC championship, and garner No. 25 in the Fansided Top 25. USU joins fellow non-automatic qualifier conference representatives Kent State and Northern Illinois from the MAC.
