Editors and writers from around the FanSided Network cast their ballots for the preseason top 25, and no surprise, the defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide is a runaway No. 1.

Alabama did not win unanimous No. 1, however. The only undefeated team in Div. I football last season, Ohio State, is ranked second and secured two first place votes. The Oregon Ducks also received a first place vote, despite entering 2013 with a new head coach.

The SEC and Pac-12 feature four of the top five ranked teams. Joining Alabama and Oregon are Texas A&M and Stanford. Coincidentally, the Aggies and Cardinal beat their higher ranked counterparts on the road last season.

The Pac-12 and SEC dominated the overall rankings. Seven SEC teams appear in the FanSided Top 25. Five from the Pac-12 made the cut.
