Georgia Rises, Mississippi Schools top Week 7 SEC Power Rankings

Well, we finally have to accept reality. The dominance in the SEC right now rests with the schools in Mississippi, something nobody ever thought they would see in their lifetime. Who can ignore it after Ole Miss and Mississippi State both pulled off dominant wins over the weekend? These teams have both pulled off quality wins in back to back weeks.

But this season is far from over, and there are plenty of teams in this conference thinking big. In fact, six have complete control of their own destiny for a spot in the college football playoff, and anybody with 2 losses is likely to have a case to be in that conversation as well. There is a lot of great football still in this conference.

So with the Mississippi schools having lots of reasons to celebrate, Auburn is still in the mix after losing. Alabama is too. Georgia has burst back onto the scene again. And Kentucky, yes Kentucky, could still do something, which nobody likely saw coming at the befginning of the year.

Texas A&M, LSU, and Florida still have a lot to play for as well. So how do we sort out all of these good teams in the SEC?
