Florida State working to schedule Alabama, Auburn
The Florida State Seminoles are working on adding the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers to their non-conference schedule.
The offseason can be a long and boring time for college football fans who are craving any bit of news to get them through the months without their favorite team on the gridiron.

Often, the news is tertiary stuff about players recovering from injuries or the occasional transfer, but this bit of news is sure to stoke the flames for college football junkies who are ready for spring games to get here.
According to Bud Elliott of Tomahawk Nation, Florida State is trying to add Iron Bowl rivals, Alabama and Auburn to their future schedules.
Per the report, Florida State wants to play Alabama in the season opener in 2017 at the new stadium in Atlanta that will be home to the Atlanta Falcons.
Elliott cites his sources as saying they are “quite confident” the game between the Seminoles and Crimson Tide will happen, but a game with Auburn is less of a sure ting. Florida State wants to open the 2019 season in Jacksonville against Auburn in what would be a rematch of the 2013 BCS Championship Game won by the Seminoles.
Scheduling strong non-conference opponents is going to be a trend with the College Football Playoff placing an importance on strength of schedule and with all three of these programs annually among the best in college, this would be quite the marquee game(s) if they come to fruition.
