20 College football teams who need new uniforms

College football uniforms are a huge part of the game day experience, both for the fans and the players. While some schools have stayed traditional for many decades and look great, others look as though they need an intervention by the What Not To Wear team.

Schools like the Penn State Nittany Lions, Oklahoma Sooners and Stanford Cardinal have always stayed plain and simple, keeping a bold color scheme, an easily recognizable helmet (even if it’s plain) and very little in the way of adornment or bling.

Other schools have gone over the top, adding way too much sizzle, trendy color schemes and those god-awful gloves that form pictures when the hands are held out.

Can we please stop this?

And then you have teams like Oregon (pictured at top of page) who seem to have new helmets and uniforms — right down to the shoelaces — every single week.

I guess having Nike in your backyard does have its advantages.

So here are 20 schools who really need to address their dress, and find some more suitable uniforms and headgear for Saturdays.

Change these uniforms and save a retina!
