College GameDay is headed to Utah in Week 6 for the Utes game against the Cal Bears.

Two weeks after their dominant win at Oregon, College GameDay is headed to Utah to see the Utes take on Jared Goff and the California Golden Bears in Week 6.

This wasn’t a marquee game when we were pouring over the schedules in the preseason but both the Utes and Bears have looked exceptional in the first five weeks of the season and now they’re getting some national respect for their hot starts.

When Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and the rest of the GameDay crew are comin’ to your city, you know you’re doing something right.

This is a testament to the program Kyle Whittingham has built at Utah and in a conference loaded with high-profile programs, coaches and players, it’s the veteran head coach who may be the nation’s most overlooked head coach.

Utah’s defense and special teams have been outstanding in recent years and running back Devontae Booker is similar to Whittingham in that he is one of the nation’s best-kept secrets, but the Utes could have their hands full with Goff who may be the top pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

But that conversation is best saved for the spring, because the conversation now should be about two Pac-12 programs in Utah and Cal gunning for Stanford and Oregon for Pac-12 North supremacy.

Who do you think has the early edge in this game?
