Predicting where ESPN will take its college football pregame show College GameDay this fall.

ESPN hit a home run with College GameDay which started as a small studio show to kick off the day’s college football coverage and it has blossomed into a traveling festival of sorts with celebrity guests and a point of pride for the school’s hosting the show.

When the show comes to your school and your city it is a significant milestone because it means the team is playing some great football but it also means your school is gaining a national presence and serves as a three-hour commercial to show off all that is great about your school, campus and football program.

Ohio State has hosted College GameDay the most with 13 trips to Columbus, but none since 2010, so I think there’s a strong likelihood that the show comes to check out the defending national champions. Florida is second with 12, Florida State and Michigan are tied for third with 11 and there is a three-way tie with 10 appearances to Alabama, LSU and USC.

Every school wants College GameDay to come to town but only 15 schools a year get that honor, so who will be part of that exclusive company this year and see new host Rece Davis and his cast of characters, including Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard this year?

Let’s take a look at the best bets to host each week and who ultimately is my prediction for the week.
