Clemson Tigers

  • Boston College at No. 5 Clemson
  • Clemson -15.5

Dabo Swinney might not like the term Clemsoning, but in reality, there is a reason this term even came about. The rationalization is Clemson football teams in the past found a way to lose games that they had no business losing. Don’t get me wrong. This is a great program with a storied tradition, but just when you think the Tigers are headed to a conference championship, they tend to choke.

Coming off a great win over Notre Dame followed by a drubbing of Georgia Tech, you would think that Boston College doesn’t stand a chance in Death Valley. Boston College on the other hand has nothing to lose. The Eagles are 3-3 on the season with no great wins, but they play tough defense and stay in games. Their average margin of defeat is less than a touchdown (6.3).

Unfortunately, I don’t have the statistics to back up such an upset claim other than history and/or the unexplainable. Clemson should definitely win this game having the better and more talented football team. Boston College might just be the team that plays better on Saturday and that’s all they need to get the W.
