Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and the rest of the College GameDay gang is headed to Baylor to take in the Bears game against Baker Mayfield and the Oklahoma Sooners next weekend.
Baylor remained undefeated with a win on Thursday night at Kansas State behind true freshman quarterback Jarrett Stidham starting in place of the injured Seth Russell and he aced his first test with 419 passing yards.
That yardage was good enough to set a FBS record for a freshman in his first start, but the level of competition will be ratcheted up a notch with the Sooners and the best defense in the Big 12 coming to Waco.
Meanwhile. the Sooners are cruising after a loss to Texas that continues to be dumbfounding with every passing week and they have a nice balance on offense to complement the top defense in the conference.

The presence of first-year offensive coordinator has brought some life to the passing game with Mayfield putting up Heisman-esque numbers but the combination of Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon is what makes Oklahoma dangerous.
We know points will be put up at a rapid pace in this one, but Oklahoma’s ability to control the pace a bit with Perine and Mixon and their ability to at least slow down Baylor enough should make this quite a show for GameDay and the rest of the fans in attendance.
Chalk this one up as a Big Ten semifinal game since the conference doesn’t have a real conference championship game and bet the over.
