College football has a number of head coaches with new jobs this year, so how will they fare in their first year at a new school?

It’s always an adventure as a first-year head coach, and depending on the program, the pressure to win can range from ho-hum – like stepping into the job at Ball State – to playoff intensity – which guys like Kirby Smart, Mark Richt, Justin Fuente and Jim Grobe will be feeling.

In 2016 there are 26 new head coaches taking over, and 13 of those coaches have either zero experience or possibly only one game as an interim coach at the college level – a pretty amazing statistic.

The only conference without any new head coaches is the Pac-12, and the ACC leads the way in new blood with four new head men on the sidelines.

We took a look at these new coaches, their experience, what they are coming into at their new job and their first-year schedules to predict how things would turn out for their inaugural seasons at the helm.

Change may have been needed in some of these cases, but it won’t be without some pain for the fans. Here are the predictions, divided by conference.
