San Diego State vs South Alabama live stream: Watch Aztecs vs Jaguars online
Here’s how you can watch Saturday night’s San Diego State vs South Alabama game from Mobile online.
If you don’t know much about San Diego State now, you should get to know the Aztecs. They’re currently 3-0 and have jumped all the way to No. 19 in the AP Poll. Usually it’s Boise State that comes out of the Mountain West as a Cinderella title contender, but this year it’s San Diego State.
Led by Heisman-hopeful running back Donnel Pumphrey, the Aztecs have more rushing yards, as a team, than passing yards — which is rare these days. Heck, Pumphrey has more rushing yards by himself, 599, than the Aztecs have passing yards. He also has seven touchdowns and averages 8.2 yards per carry.
Christian Chapman leads San Diego State’s aerial attack, passing for 538 yards and six touchdowns with a 61 percent completion rate. His favorite target, easily, has been Mikah Holder who has 10 catches for 242 yards and three scores. Eric Judge also has 10 catches, but for just 106 yards.
South Alabama is another team that hasn’t gotten much exposure, but that’s probably because the Jaguars fell off the map after upsetting Mississippi State in Week 1. Beating the Bulldogs was a huge accomplishment, but they are just 1-2 since and haven’t fared well against mediocre teams.
Dallas Davis is, however, a potent passer for the Jaguars, racking up 1,130 yards, five touchdowns and five picks with a 58 percent completion rate. Gerald Everett and Kevin Kutchera have been killing it in the receiving game, combining for 34 catches for 550 yards and two touchdowns.
Don’t expect much out of this run game as it averages about 116 yards per game behind Xavier Johnson and Tyreis Thomas.
