Miami vs Virginia Live Stream: Watch Hurricanes vs Cavaliers Online
By Tim Kaiser
Find out how to stream this ACC Coastal matchup between the Miami Hurricanes (5-4, 2-3 ACC) and Virginia Cavaliers (2-7,1-4) .
Mark Richt and Bronco Mendenhall both joined the ACC as veteran head coaches of new teams before the season. They might have both entered with the same goals of improving the team and installing their own cultures, but they head two dramatically different programs with drastically different expectations.
Richt took over a Miami team that, while not as stacked as the powerhouses of the early 2000s or earlier Canes’ dynasties, has NFL talent. Al Golden’s sin in the eyes of Miami fans was the failure to develop that talent and produce anything but middling results. Richt’s first year has looked much like the Golden era. The Canes have matching winning and losing streaks of four games. They snapped the losing variety in their last game against Pittsburgh. They will need to win out to match their win total of last season.
Bronco Mendenhall took over a program in far more disarray and with far less greatness and winning in its past. Virginia’s last winning season was in 2011. The Cavaliers started slow, losing to an FCS team to open the season to begin a three-game losing streak. Mendenhall won his first ACC game at Duke, although that team looked nothing like the one that beat Carolina on Thursday night. The ACC win was fool’s gold as Virginia lost its next four games, ensuring Mendenhall would miss out on a bowl game for the first time in his 12-year head coaching career.
