Oklahoma football has claimed the Bedlam series game in each of the last three seasons. Much of the same can be expected in 2018.

Bedlam.

It’s one of the best-coined names for a rivalry series and better yet, describes the annual matchup between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State Cowboys perfectly — because it’s pure chaos. Two Big 12 teams pitted against one another vying for in-state bragging rights and in some cases, a conference title.

Oddly enough, the game won’t be played on the typical Saturday for college football’s rivalry week, which is normally played out as the final regular season game. Instead, the contest is slated for an early November meeting.

Lately, the Sooners have reigned supreme on top of the Big 12 and have vaulted themselves to the College Football Playoffs twice. A similar outcome is desired for the 2018 season.

Both teams had prolific offenses last year and each lost key members on the offensive side of the ball. Oklahoma is without last year’s Heisman winner Baker Mayfield while Oklahoma State graduated quarterback Mason Rudolph and wideout James Washington.

How will the Bedlam Series pan out in 2018? Most signs point to Oklahoma retaining the title.
